Half way through the year, the residential property market is showing more positive signs with viewings and sales levels increasing as confidence returns.
Inevitably, after a long run of several years when prices increased inexorably, a quieter period….and one where price increses have slowed…has caused volatility as prospective purchasers take a more conservative view with their bidding.
In truth, the markets became more difficult in 2004 when mortgage rate increases and negative statements by The Governor of The Bank of England about the future direction of prices caused many buyers to "sit on the fence" before they made up their mind whether to buy or not.
In these market conditions a quality estate agent will always do better and that certainly seems to be the case so far as Arnolds offices are concerned.
